Refranchise Opportunities

A refranchise opportunity is a chance to obtain an established business which might be an existing corporate store or an existing franchisee with known revenue and expenses. Existing stores refranchise for a variety of reasons: retirement, divorce, illness, etc. Refranchise opportunities can be more or less the cost of a new store depending on a variety of factors: asset or share purchase, sales history, required renovations, etc.

As with a new franchise opportunity, Cody Party Centre financially pre-qualifies candidates who can confirm that they have approximately one-third of the negotiated purchase price available in unencumbered (free and clear) cash. For a refranchise opportunity, approximately another $40,000 must be added on to the purchase price to cover additional costs such as the transfer and training fees, inventory, legal fees etc. Please contact our Franchising department for financial requirements for specific refranchise opportunities.

The refranchise process takes from eight to twelve weeks from the time a purchase agreement is in place. This allows sufficient time for financing to be arranged and training to be completed.
